Job Description
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. We are seeking an experienced Tableau developer with expertise in Tableau, Data Modeling, and Visualization to join the Market Risk team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, efficient, and high‑quality solutions using Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Tableau.
- Work with stakeholders to understand data visualization needs and translate them into effective dashboards and reports.
- Lead a small team of Tableau developers and help them meet business requirements.
- Implement data modeling, data extraction, and performance tuning for optimal Tableau performance.
- Collaborate with business teams to design and deliver high‑quality automation solutions.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and support for Tableau solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other Tableau developers and end‑users.
- Stay current on Tableau best practices, new features, and industry trends.
- Drive vision and end state for reporting and analytics capability using Tableau.
- Prioritize requirements and manage the prioritization process with senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and issue resolution.
- Ensure design adheres to Citi Risk and Control requirements.
- Assess reporting tool performance relative to use case requirements.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
Finance professional with engineering background, 6‑10 years of experience driving digital or business intelligence tool rollouts.Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Online.Strong knowledge of data visualization principles.Hands‑on SQL fundamentals : queries, joins, relational database.Strategic thinking around data modeling and future needs of Market Risk.Ability to anticipate future requirements and develop strategic solutions.Basic understanding of CI / CD pipelines.Experience in data modeling, extraction, and performance tuning.Independent work and multi‑priority management in fast‑paced environments.Understanding of data architecture and reporting platform performance standards.Knowledge of Financial domain, risk, and Market Risk is an advantage.Stakeholder engagement across all levels.Communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal; diplomacy; influence senior execs.Integrity, maturity, dependability, positive professional attitude.Organizational and project management skills.Knowledge of Agile methodology and large‑scale project management.Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
