Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Medical Laboratory Department at Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie, BC. About the Job
Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine laboratory tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Laboratories, operating related equipment, entering data into the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days Monday to Friday with weekends and stats off.

**This is a float position that covers Fernie, Sparwood and Elkford**
