Senior Data Engineer

Position: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid 3 days onsite)


Role Overview:
The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes in a distributed data environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Scala, Apache Spark, and SQL, along with hands-on experience building scalable data processing solutions. Experience with Snowflake and RDBMS environments is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines for large-scale data processing
• Build and maintain ETL processes using Scala, Spark, and SQL
• Work with RDBMS and Snowflake for data storage and transformation
• Optimize data processing performance and troubleshoot pipeline issues
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to support data initiatives

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Apache Spark
• Hands-on experience in ETL development
• Proficiency in Scala and functional programming
• Strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
