Job descriptionHello, I’m still in the process of writing and editing this, so please feel free to ask any questions if something seems incomplete. I’m looking for an experienced nanny to help with evening care after daycare on a rotating biweekly schedule, as well as sporadic/occasional full-days on weekends, depending on daycare coverage. My son will be just over one year old when I return to work in January. I’d like to begin in December with a few shorter visits and trial days while I’m home, so that he can get comfortable with a new caregiver before my return to work. I’m a solo mom looking for someone caring, dependable, and experienced with infants. This position will be part- to full-time, providing consistent care in our Stoney Creek home. The ideal candidate will be CPR-certified, have prior experience with infants, and be able to offer a warm, stable presence. Responsibilities include picking him up from daycare using your own vehicle (I can provide a car seat if needed), serving his pre-prepared dinner, and helping with his bedtime routine until I return home. My work schedule consists of rotating 12-hour shifts, from 9 AM to 9 PM, so most evenings would be from about 5:00 PM (daycare pickup) until around 10 PM. Occasionally, I may require full-day weekend coverage, depending on my schedule. A spare room is available for rest during naps or in case I get stuck late at work. Reliability and consistency are absolutely essential, as I cannot afford to miss a shift at work unless it's an emergency. If you ever need time off or become unavailable, I ask that you help me arrange a safe and trusted backup provider in advance. You’ll need to have your own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification. In return, I’m offering a competitive and negotiable wage, depending on shift length and holidays, as well as the opportunity to become an important and trusted part of our small family. I aim to provide a positive, supportive environment where both my son and his caregiver can feel comfortable and valued. I’d love to start meeting potential candidates soon to discuss options and possibly spend a few days together before I go back to work, so my little one can adjust gradually. Thank you for taking the time to read this — I look forward to connecting with the right person to join us.
