Hi there! I am looking for a part-time Mother's Helper to assist me after school hours 2 or 3 days per week in the Glen Abbey area of Oakville at Upper Middle Road and Third Line. I have two children: my oldest is 9 years old and loves art and math, my youngest is 6 years old and enjoys playing with cars, being active and doing everything his older brother does. My children have afterschool care, so ideally looking for someone who can work 4:30 - 6:30pm or 5 - 7pm two or three days per week, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting a household, and helping a family run smoothly. Responsibilities: - Provide support with childcare, including homework help, and after-school routines. - Manage kids dinner meal preparation, snacks and next day lunch box for the children. - Help keep the home tidy (light housekeeping such as loading / unloading the dishwasher, kids laundry, tidying the kitchen / kitchen table after meal preparation, and working with kids to clean up their toys / art before bed). - Occasional pick up of kids from their aftercare program at school (less than 10 minute walk from home) - Be a positive, fun, and dependable presence in our home. Schedule: - 2 or 3 days per week (exact days and times to be discussed, I have flexibility) - Approximately 2 hours per day (again, can be flexible on this depending on your situation) Requirements: - Experience working with children (nannying, babysitting, daycare, teaching, or similar). - Comfortable with light household duties. - Responsible, dependable, and nurturing personality. - Ability to multitask and pitch in where needed.
