  • Review technical deliverables for quality, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.

Project Coordination & Delivery

  • Prepare proposals, bid documentation, and contract documentation.
  • Monitor, control, and report project status internally and externally.
  • Support project delivery within defined budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with project financials, including fee forecasting, preparation, and allocation.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead design teams and coordinate technical work across project groups.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and instruction to junior staff.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a strong team environment focused on quality, communication, and project execution.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  • 5+ years of progressive bridge engineering experience, with 8+ years strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading or supporting bridge engineering work within a consulting environment.
  • Strong experience in structural analysis, design, evaluation, calculations, drawings, and technical reporting.
  • Ability to contribute to project delivery with limited ramp-up time and support mentorship within the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally as required.

Nice to Haves

  • Post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Consulting engineering experience preferred.
  • Owner-side bridge or transportation structures experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Experience with City of Edmonton projects or requirements.
  • Experience preparing proposals, bid documentation, and contract documentation.
  • Experience supporting project financials, including fee forecasting and allocation.

Who You Are

  • A strong communicator who can work effectively with clients, internal teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Organized and able to manage competing priorities across multiple project demands.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and working independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • A committed team player who is highly self-motivated.
  • Able to support junior staff through mentorship, guidance, and technical instruction.
  • Calm under pressure and able to maintain quality while working within budget and schedule requirements.
  • Growth-minded, with an interest in building a strong technical profile across bridge projects in Alberta.
