Job Title: Warehouse Worker – Nights
Job Description
This night-shift warehouse role focuses on supporting a high-volume distribution operation by unloading trailers, sorting and scanning products, building and wrapping pallets, and accurately picking orders for shipping. You will work in a fast-paced receiving department, handling consistent heavy lifting while ensuring products move safely and efficiently through the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Unload trailers safely and efficiently, handling cartons and products throughout the shift.
- Sort incoming products and place them in the appropriate locations according to warehouse procedures.
- Scan products accurately using an RF scanner to maintain real-time inventory and shipment accuracy.
- Build and wrap pallets securely to ensure stability and safety during storage and transportation.
- Pick orders for shipping with attention to detail, verifying item accuracy and quantities.
- Perform general labor and warehouse tasks, including shipping and receiving activities as required.
- Lift and move items weighing 25–50 lbs consistently for the duration of the shift, including occasional heavier lifts for up to 2 hours per day.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs consistently for an 8-hour shift, including heavier lifting for up to approximately 2 hours per day.
- Previous experience in warehouse or janitorial work in a physically demanding environment.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.
- Experience building and wrapping pallets in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Proficiency using an RF scanner for product identification, tracking, and inventory control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background in general labor or general warehouse work, including loading and unloading.
- Experience in order picking for shipping in a distribution or 3rd party logistics environment.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting best practices and safe material-handling techniques.
- Comfort working with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a team-focused environment.
- Willingness to learn new processes and tools as warehouse needs evolve.

Work Environment
You will work in an extremely fast-paced receiving department within a large third-party logistics warehouse facility, primarily supporting major retail distribution. The team typically consists of 20–30 people, including power pallet operators and warehouse workers, who collaborate closely to move high volumes of product. The environment is dynamic and ever-changing, requiring flexibility and a willingness to adapt rather than follow rigid, step-by-step processes. Night shifts run from 11:00 . to 7:30 ., Sunday to Thursday, with the expectation of being open to work on other days of the week as needed. The facility encourages a practical, energetic atmosphere where team members can listen to music while working, fostering a balance of productivity and enjoyment in a physically demanding setting.
