Salary : $35-$45 Gross per hour and is based on experience. Guaranteed hours and salary.
The start date is flexible but ideally, we would like someone to start by April 1, 2024.
We are a working professional couple located in central Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. We split our work hours between home and downtown, Vancouver.
We are looking for an experienced superstar teacher / caregiver for our 3 ½ year-old son. Our son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at 12 months old and as a result of therapy, has made significant progress and would be considered “high-functioning”.
We are looking for someone who can attend home and drive to therapy sessions and implement the therapy with him throughout the day through play. Our ideal candidate is eager to teach through interactive play, focus on his development, and be proactive in helping him achieve developmental milestones. We will pay for all training and education via a Behavioural Consultant, Speech and Language Pathologist, Physiotherapist, and Occupational Therapist. You will be working alongside the therapy team, and you must be a team player who can carry out their treatment plans, as an extension of the team. An ideal candidate should be motivated, committed, eager to learn, creative, warm, and fun!
We would need the candidate to occasionally cook lunch for our son. We use a cleaning company; however, the candidate will need to clean up after playing and meal / snacks.
Driving is a requirement (to and from preschool as well as therapy sessions) and you must have your own reliable vehicle. Mileage will be provided.
We have a 6-year-old girl who attends full-time school so no care is required. We also have an 8-year-old chocolate Labrador but no care is needed.
Both parents are fully vaccinated. We are looking for a candidate who is also vaccinated.

We are looking for a long-term position with a minimum 1 ½ year contract.
From April 2024 until mid-June 2024, the required working hours are as follows (42.5 hours / week) :
From mid-June 2024 to September 2024, the required working hours are as follows (47.5 hours / week) :
From September 2024 to mid-June 2025, the required working hours are as follows (34 hours / week) :
The required hours during Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break are as follows (47.5 hours / week) :
Combined annual hours is expected to be approximately 2025 hours which includes two weeks paid vacation. Annual salary range is $73,000 to $94,000 and is based on experience.
