About the Opportunity

• Reconcile daily retail/merchandise sales to payment records and through to bank deposit
• Ensure proper posting of sales, cost of sales and transfers
• Manage mapping tables for multiple merchant ID’s
• Work closely with Retail/Merchandise operations and IT to resolve integration issues
• Record all event related commissions for multiple properties
• Work closely with Retail/Merchandise operations team to ensure proper month-end inventory cut offs
• Ensure timely recording of all month-end accruals for Retail/Merchandise
• Complete monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with quarter end variance analysis
• Prepare Ad-Hoc reporting where required
• Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as requested

About You

• Accounting degree/diploma from University or recognized College
• Highly detail oriented
• Comfortable processing high volumes of data in a time sensitive environment
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• 2+ years of experience in a highly transactional accounting function
• Highly analytical, with the ability to analyze and organize information
• Excellent time management with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and set priorities as required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven problem solving capabilities
• Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction
• Desire to learn and to take on new responsibilities
• Preferred, experience with Retail/Merchandise accounting
• Knowledge of Simphony POS & Oracle ERP systems is an asset
• Pursuing a recognized accounting designation (CPA) is an asset

Pay Range
$30 - $38 / hour
