About the team and the role:

The OneExperience team within eBays Core Product Design organization is a comprehensive cross-functional design team excelling in taste-making strategy design systems visual design experience design content creation and motion design. Dedicated to creating cohesive and innovative design solutions we focus on evolving our product and brand experience to achieve higher levels of consistency and innovation for our current and future eBay customers.

We are looking for a Motion Designer to join our Design Systems team at eBay with strong technical skills and a strong understanding of social and motion trends. You will work closely with design leaders product management brand and cross-platform engineering to successfully go from early stage product concepts to launch. You are a creative visionary that can translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions. You must be responsive flexible and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. The ideal candidate for this position will be at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract and then being able to drive that vision into solid design deliverables.

This role reports to the Head of Design Systems in the Core Product Organization.

What you will accomplish:

• Craft unique and compelling motion design for eBay within the established motion framework and brand voice

• Editing and storytelling skills at the highest level for internal and external

• Work strategically with team members across the organization

• Ensure delivery is to developer expectations and QA to ensure implementation is to design expectations

What you will bring:

• 3-5 years professional experience as a motion designer / user experience designer; expertise in both motion and visual design.

• A robust portfolio encompassing multiple projects and your direct contributions to them.

• Proficiency with design and prototyping in Figma.

• Experience with advanced prototyping tools such as Rive Play or .

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave).
