Our Hamilton/Oakville and Kitchener offices are hiring Senior Accountants for our Public Company practice in the following client groups:
  • CIM (Consumer and Industrial Manufacturing)
  • Asset Management (Funds, Real Estate, Construction)
  • FI (Banks, Credit Unions and Insurance)
  • TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications)
  • ENR (Energy and Natural Resources)
What you will do
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements.
  • Conduct external and internal financial statement audits for both public and private companies.
  • Leadership of field engagement teams as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.
  • Perform financial and systems analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
What you bring to the role
  • Must have relevant post-secondary degree
  • Enrolment in the CPA Canada professional education program or holding another nationally recognized professional accounting designation an asset
  • 2+ years post graduate experience in external audit of publicly listed entities (PCAOB, IFRS and/or US GAAP)
  • Excellent project management, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment
  • Effectively monitor multiple or complex projects regularly to check progression against deadlines and budget
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and maintain strong client relationships
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service while demonstrating professionalism in the performance of duties
  • Uses previous experience and technical knowledge to the benefit of the client
  • Able to use a range of techniques to analyze an issue
KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $88,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
