About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join a dynamic civil construction team working across the Lower Mainland, from Vancouver (UBC) to Maple Ridge. This role is ideal for a skilled operator who enjoys diverse job sites, hands-on work, and contributing to essential infrastructure projects.

You’ll primarily operate excavators, skid steers, and rollers while supporting a variety of civil construction activities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, and rollers
• Perform excavation and grading work in civil and stormwater projects
• Work carefully around underground and above-ground utilities
• Load trucks and sort materials efficiently
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness of equipment (tracks, cabs,
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed on site
• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators
• Strong experience in mainline and underground utility work
• Background in civil construction and stormwater systems
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
• Solid communication skills and ability to work within a team

Nice to Have

• Experience operating forklifts and rollers
• Familiarity with tie-in work / utility connections
• Valid safety certifications (considered an asset)

Requirements

• Must have your own PPE, including:
  • Steel-toed (6") boots
  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses
  • High-visibility vest
  • Gloves
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to travel between job sites across the region
