Darling Ingredients is a global leader in providing natural and sustainable ingredients for the food, feed and fuel sectors. Conducting business as Darling International Canada Inc. in Canada, Darling operates six processing facilities across the country and is Canada's largest provider of rendering and recycling services to the food industry. Darling provides essential services to the food industry through the efficient and environmentally responsible management of collecting, processing and converting by-products into ingredients for the animal feed, pet food, aquaculture, fertilizer and biofuel industries. We are committed to environmental sustainability, superior quality and excellent customer service.POSITION SUMMARY:Plant Services (Janitor) working at our Dundas, Ontario processing plant. The successful candidate will be required to work Day shift 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to FridayKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. offices, restrooms, conference rooms, warehouse, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environmentSome of the facilities are spread out around the propertyDelivers a variety of items (e.g. supplies, chemicals, bags, catering items to nearby buildings, mail, packages, furniture, etc.)Other duties as assigned by managementEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years' experience in industrial settings1-3 years' experience in janitorial or similar roleMust have reliable transportation Willingness to learn Ability to work independentlyMust be able to perform the physical demands of the positionAbility to work under minimal supervisionResults-oriented individualEffective reading and oral communication skillsAbility to follow detailed instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomesAbility to work in a fast-paced team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goalsAbility to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situationsPositive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethicAbility to work safely, following established safety practices and proceduresPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, leaning, climbing, extended hours of walking and/or standingMust have the ability to lift, push and pull between 50+ poundsWE OFFER:$26.85 an hour Uniforms providedSafety shoe/boot programDarling International Canada Inc. is committed to a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities where our facilities are located.
