Armour is currently recruiting a Safety Manager in Moncton, New Brunswick, located at our office on English Drive. The Safety Manager will manage the day-to-day Safety initiatives and promote Safety Culture for Armour Transportation systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Operations Management on safety related activities
• Promote Safety Culture across the organization
• Driver/Employee Orientations, coaching, and Safety Training
• Safe Behaviour Observation programs (Field Audits)
• Promote and ensure compliance to OH&S regulations and practices
• Incident Investigations and root cause analysis
• KPI reporting and communication of corrective actions and learnings
• Day-to-Day managing of assigned employees
• Other assigned duties

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated industry-related experience in a safety role
• Excellent knowledge of the road transportation industry regulations, occupational safety standards, highway traffic and Hours of Service regulations
• NATMI CDS or similar industry certification preferred

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced environment
• Some non-standard work hours and travel throughout Armour’s terminal network
• High volume of communication, including email, phone, text, and meetings

Technical Skills:

• Prepare and present presentations to both small and large groups
• Ability to analyze data for reporting and trending purposes
• Computer Literacy with Microsoft Office and TMW Applications
