The Quadra Island Medical Clinic, located just a 10-minute ferry ride from Campbell River, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its team. The clinic serves as a hub for primary care services within the local Primary Care Network and is a long-established, multi-disciplinary practice in the community. Current services include on-site ECG and Holter monitoring, weekly laboratory services, and integrated allied health supports such as a social worker, a visiting mental health nurse, and a clinical pharmacist. The successful candidate will work alongside a contracted Family Physician. Recruitment efforts are also underway for an additional physician, as the current physician prepares for retirement.
The Nurse Practitioner operate will primarily provide clinic-based patient care with opportunities for community outreach. Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of cultural safety and sensitivity and trauma-informed care.
The clinic is managed by the Quadra Island Health Society, which oversees daily operations through an office manager and medical office assistants. The Society’s mandate is to strengthen and enhance health services on Quadra Island, and it interacts with several community groups to support seniors at home, mental health and addictions care, chronic disease management, and palliative care as part of the evolving Compassionate Community project.
