Job description
Our family is looking for a friendly, responsible, experienced caregiver for our 3 children starting May 1, 2026. We live in Lantzville and have a 15 year old and 12 year old twins. We are looking for someone who is reliable, energetic, and loves kids. We are offering 12-18 hrs/week over 3-4 weekdays (4-6hrs/day, Monday to Friday, weekend care is not required). Once the children are out of school in mid June, the position will transition to approx 30hrs per week (8-10hrs/day, 3-4days a week). Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license (not the "N" or the "L"). We provide a vehicle. The position involves driving the kids to after school activities and some daytime care of the children. Light housework, making school lunches and some cooking for the children is required. Must be a non-smoker. We are a fun, busy family and need someone who is very reliable and has lots of enthusiasm. The position is long term. This position has worked well for students at VIU in the past, particularly those in the Education Program. The kids love the outdoors, sports, and crafts.
