Job Title: Project ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple pump station projects within the Lower Mainland. The role involves managing the planning, design, and construction phases of sewage pump station projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Draft scope of work, project management plan, resourcing plans, and safety plans.
- Create project charters in preparation for RFP from consultants.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders to understand and execute their requests and needs.
- Engage in procurement activities, support RFP evaluations, and participate in consensus meetings.
- Manage the design and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and requirements.
- Host design workshops with consultants and multiple teams.
- Oversee the comment review process with consultants at various design phases (30%, 60%, 90%).
- Engage with municipalities to acquire permits, meet standards, and address key risks.
- Review detailed specifications with the consultant team during the detailed design phase.
Essential Skills- 10-15 years of project management, design, and field experience in water, wastewater, or industrial processing facilities.
- Proficiency in heavy reporting, including financial and monthly consulting reports.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project scopes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with municipal projects and permitting.
- Experience with pump stations, ideally municipal experience.
- Experience in community engagement and traffic management.
- Mechanical or Civil designation (Mechanical preferred).
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Metro Vancouver projects, directly or through subcontractors/general contractors.
- PMP designation.
- Experience in water/wastewater projects.
- Ability to perform tasks independently, including writing memos, evaluating claims, and taking minutes.
Work EnvironmentWork hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with a hybrid work model allowing 2-3 days of remote work from Metrotower III. Enjoy long-term stability with opportunities for internal FTE openings as they arise. Benefit from the potential to extend secondments, typically lasting 2-3 years.
