Dispatcher (Transport)

Our Lantz Site is home to both Shaw Transport, Shaw Precast Solutions and Shaw Brick divisions.We are currently hiring a Shaw Transport Dispatcher.As a Dispatcher in the trucking industry, you will play a key role in coordinating load movement and ensuring timely deliveries. Reporting to the General Manager of Shaw Transport, you will utilize your logistics, communication and organizational skills to optimize operations keeping the Shaw Values (Safety, Integrity, Responsibility, Customer Understanding, Constant Improvement, and Collaboration) front of mind. Proficiency in transportation management systems and experience in shipping and receiving will be valuable assets. Responsibilities Planning, organizing, coordinating and monitoring loads to ensure orders are delivered by the requested date and time.· Daily monitoring of asset usage and location (tractor and trailers).· Supervising Shaw Transport drivers such as assignment of specific loads, confirmation of details, maintenance of systems, etc.· Invoicing customers daily .· Maintaining accurate records (payroll, IFTA reporting, carrier profile, etc.).· Providing timely and professional responses to customer inquiries.· Working collaboratively with other departments and external providers to process requests or resolve issues.· Performing other duties as required to maintain and enhance customer relations, departmental productivity, and strategic partnerships. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 of experience as a dispatcher· Strong communication skills with an ability to quickly build rapport and maintain relationships· Strong problem solving and decision-making skills· Proven ability to multi-task· Excellent customer service skills· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.· Maintains a high level of integrity and accountability.· Easily adaptable in the field as the demands of the customer changes.· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.).
