About the Opportunity
The IM / IT Lead provides technical oversight and subject matter expertise and day-to-day supervision and support of the Clinical implementation and maintenance activities related to specific application areas. The individual will lead the technical implementation of the build / configuration and changes / enhancements for assigned clinical applications in collaborative partnership with other IM / IT Leads and Managers.
The IM / IT Lead independently addresses issues and designs decisions of moderate complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to clinical and non-clinical applications across the organization. This includes leading the analysis, resolution of issues, and communication of resolution to affected users. The Lead Application Analyst also leads testing activities and training activities including creation of educational documentation and support to end users.
The IM / IT Team Lead reports to an IM / IT Manager and oversees a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of initiatives and programs throughout the province as the organization moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the OPOR strategy. The IM / IT Manager will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications in support of NSH’s and its client’s strategic mission, vision, and goals. The IM / IT Manager performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to coordination of resources and stakeholders; managing timelines and milestones; documenting outcomes; and monitoring, summarizing, and communicating the progress of activities to the appropriate leadership team members. Additionally, this management position ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by the NSH IM / IT business plan, established policies / procedures, and in line with service level agreements between NSH, IWK, and the department of health.
