We are a family of five living in the vibrant Cambie Village neighborhood. We have identical twin daughters (1.5 y / o) and a son (3.5y / o, in daycare) who make every day exciting (and keep us on our toes!). The twins are nonstop giggles and our son is sweet, sensitive, and does anything he can to make the twins laugh. We also share our home with a friendly dog and a cat.
We're looking for a compassionate, calm, and proactive full-time nanny to become an integral part of our lives during this joyful and busy time. If you have a positive attitude, a love for children, and a knack for keeping things running smoothly, we would love to meet you!
Location : 18th & Cambie
Hours : 45 hours per week. The base schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM, with flexibility as needed.
Role Responsibilities :
1. Child Care : Provide attentive and nurturing care for our twin girls, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. This includes taking them to gymnastics, music and art classes via public transit or walking.
2. Food Preparation : Assist with preparing healthy, balanced meals for the girls and sometimes the whole family.
3. Light Housekeeping : Help maintain a tidy home environment, including laundry for the kids, tidying toys, and other light household chores.
4. House Management & Errands : Occasionally run errands such as grocery shopping and other family-related tasks. Re-order supplies like diapers or hand soap when inventory is low.
Qualifications : Experience in caring for toddlers. Someone who likes to cook with organizational skills is a plus! We are a non-smoking household, so non-smoking is a must.
Transportation : A car is not required, as we are well-connected by transit. Driver's license a big plus, as the role may evolve to include pickups / dropoffs as the kids get older.
Compensation : ~$26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
