Men’s Woodworking – Monthly Program Support

Kiwanis Lodge is beginning a monthly men’s woodworking group with the hope of connecting some of the male residents over shared small projects – from small wooden train assembly to birdhouses. They are also interested in history / sports / conversation / career type groups that tie to a volunteer’s interest. This program will be once a month; however, a volunteer is welcome to come more often if they wish! This can be discussed.

Kiwanis is searching for a male / male-identifying volunteer with a flexible schedule who can join the men’s group once a month. This volunteer will be asked to support residents in assembly and project tasks and will require a patient and compassionate approach. Comfort with a long-term care setting is helpful, but there will be staff support throughout the program!
