Job Title: MillwrightJob DescriptionAs a Millwright, you will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of high-speed machinery in processing and packaging areas. You will work on converting high-speed packaging machines to accommodate new product formats and will be involved in investigating and recommending modifications to improve existing equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform safety inspections, lubricate and make necessary repairs or adjustments on machines.
- Check machines in operation continually to detect problems and maintain quality control standards.
- Conduct minor electrical repairs on machines.
- Complete paperwork accurately, close work orders, create notifications, and ensure preventative maintenance completion.
- Collaborate with the Engineering department for machine modifications and installation of new machinery and production systems.
- Work closely with operating colleagues to ensure high-quality product production while maintaining budgeted efficiencies.
- Understand and follow food safety systems and procedures.
- Ensure all products meet GMP and food safety requirements.
- Actively participate and contribute to the development of IL6S tools and systems.
- Participate in Changeovers and Sanitation on the line and seek opportunities for improvements.
- Use Root Cause Analysis tools to eliminate breakdowns.
Essential Skills- Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of blueprints, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- 433A license
- 3-5 years of experience as an industrial mechanic
- Computer literacy
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Lift Truck license (an asset)
- Experience using SAP or Maximo
- Ability and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a food manufacturing setting, where you will experience exposure to noise, raw materials, some dust, and variable temperatures. Use of personal protective equipment is required, including protective footwear, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses when necessary. You will be part of a 20-person maintenance team, which includes 14 millwrights and 2 maintenance planners. Please ensure you are not allergic to peanuts as this is a peanut facility.
