Technician Supply Chain

About the role

The Supply Chain Technician role offers the opportunity for you to support operational continuity by maintaining inventory integrity, receiving deliveries, and delivering required materials throughout the operation. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate handling, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off (9.5 hours) for training and then moved to a 7 days on / 7 day off - 12 hour shift. This is a local residential role.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $53, to $73,.

Key result areas will include:

• Perform receiving functions in accordance with standard procedures, which consist of but are not limited to the following: Accurate receiving of inventory and direct charge goods. Put away received materials in warehouse storage location or prepare materials to be delivered. Document, correct and report all shortages, overages, or damaged shipments received.
• Perform picking functions in accordance with standard procedures, which consist of but are not limited to the following: Review, coordinate and manage sales orders of inventory items. Delegate picks when monitoring the pick queue. Pick, pack, post, and coordinate deliveries of these materials. Manage backorders and communicate them to end users.
• Perform other supply chain functions which consist of but are not limited to the following: Provide customer service to walk-ins, telephone and email requests for materials. Offload trucks and operate forklift/stacker safely and efficiently. Prepare orders for shipment off property. Restock vending machines. Actively participate in maintaining proper housekeeping practices in all warehouse storage areas and throughout the properties. Assist with physical inventory process as required. Change locations in Pronto as required. Change physical location of items as required. Follow procedure for new stock (print bar code labels, assign new location, record, enter in ERP system). Investigate and report stock-outs; advise buyer as required; record stock discrepancies on material requisitions slips or physical adjustment sheet. Facilitate the deliveries of goods both on and off the property. Conduct deliveries to all locations using forklift, cube van, flatbed truck, and light vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As the Supply Chain Technician, you will have a Secondary School Graduation Diploma.

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• Two to three years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Good working knowledge of a computerized ERP system.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective organization and time management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a multi-tasked environment.
• Competent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Competent equipment operator skills.
