Senior Specialized IT Consultant

Our client is looking for a Senior Specialized IT Consultant for a 12 month contract in North York.

This is an onsite role.

Rate: $557.45 - $592.98

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with new vendor solution, project teams, solution architects, ITS, LTC IAST staff and third parties engaged to facilitate agreement on and acceptance of the solution for any technical issues or enhancements.
• Provide technical support coordination for QA and UAT testing, including engagement of existing support teams.
• Provide support for cloud pipeline configuration, management, and deployment support.
• Contribute to the completion of deliverables (such as, solution concept document, infrastructure build, and requirements document) for solution support and Maintenance activities.
• Lead the completion of the desktop package certification and installation.
• Lead the maintenance of environment readiness (HW, Security Patching, SW, NSG’s/Network, VPN, VDI access for Vendor and internal teams).
• Completion of all connections to all non-core and/or legacy components identified for the solution Maintenance and Support requirements.
• Provide technical expertise in the release and deployment management, change management, problem and incident management, service level management, environment greening, and service transition from project team to operations team and related processes on-going.
• Provide Technical expertise in the management of changes from agreed scope, schedule or quality for infrastructure, network, and access updates through Change request process – provide technical assistance in the issuance of change requests and management approvals.
• Technical oversight of code/package drops and implementations into QA/UAT/Production Environments
• Provide Technical expertise and necessary activities in the management of the Hardware/Peripherals and Software Inventory to optimize the Azure hosting costs, (such as physical and virtual servers, network assets, software licenses)
• Proactively identify risks related to technical solutions and propose mitigation plans. Provide technical expertise in the follow ups on risk mitigations strategy and issues/ actions execution.
• Provide technical expertise in the completion of client-side elements of the solution, such as desktop package certification and installation and peripherals acquisition and setup.
• Technical Leadership, coordination, and facilitation as required for the Maintenance and Support tasks.
• Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an organization’s I&IT systems.
• The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
• Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.



Qualifications
Must Have:

• Hands on experience with Java, AKS configuration and customization, monitoring, Web Services, SQL, XML, DHTML/HTML, and JavaScript
• Understanding of Siebel Application Architecture, hands on Siebel Administration, Siebel development environment setup, Web Services, and workflows design
• Knowledge of, and experience with the following computing environments:
• Database: Oracle
• CRM: Oracle Siebel
• Information & Analytics, Terraform, Satellite server and Ansible automation platform
• Azure Resource Manager
• Mid Tier: BPM
• Operating Platforms: Linux/MS,
• Web/Application Servers: WebLogic, WebSphere and Microsoft IIS
• Working experience with toolsets that support object-oriented languages and web application development including:
• Configuration/Builds: DevOps (or similar)
• Integrated Development Environment, UML modeling tools
• Eclipse
• JUnit, Log4J
• Knowledge of leading-edge technologies design criteria, security and recovery procedures, preparation of technical specifications for installation, testing, and performance of integrated, multi-services systems; assess performance and capacity of the existing system making recommendations for improving performance, and developing technical documentation.
