We are currently looking to hire a full-time Senior Manager to join the CRC National Management team. This role will suit a professional with a proven track record of exceptional communication and technical skills who is open to travel and work from India. The growing CRC D&A Center supports a diverse group of engagement teams across the globe, and the Senior Manager will provide direct support and guidance to offshore and onshore teams so that Canadian audit engagement teams can effectively leverage the CRC D&A Center of Excellence on their audits.
What You Will Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the CRC D&A Center of Excellence in collaboration with the CRC national management team and the CDST team.
- Provide direct support to audit engagement teams to effectively leverage the CRC D&A Center of Excellence on engagements.
- Assist in overseeing the Quality (QMCI) team at the CRC in India by identifying areas for quality improvement and overseeing implementation of solutions to ensure high audit quality and deliverables.
- Prepare training materials, how-to guides, monthly/quarterly newsletters, and other guidance documents for the internal CRC portal.
- Leverage firm processes and programs to actively support the business.
Data & Analytics
- Identify potential new services, offerings, and tools to enhance the experience of audit engagement teams using the CRC.
- Perform annual budgeting, forecasting and hours/FTE modelling using data analytics programs.
- Participate in business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore CRC teams to ensure sufficient fulfiller licensing and controlled access to security groups.
- Review and approve requests for access to standard software and technology tools used by offshore delivery team members (e.g., Visio Pro, Alteryx, PowerBI).
Other
- Expected to be a performance manager to more junior team members.
- Willingness to travel internationally and ability to obtain requisite business traveler visa/work permits for India.
- The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret, and/or apply policies, practices, laws and/or regulations during the regular course of employment.
- The successful candidate may need to start their day earlier or work later than normal office hours to overlap with the offshore management team for operational oversight.
At times, business needs may require work beyond normal hours; flexibility is provided to accommodate personal matters as well.
What You Bring To The Role
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in a public practice accounting firm, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Senior manager or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience with KPMG Canada.
- Minimum 5 years auditing and team management experience.
- Diploma or bachelor’s in computer science, Database Management or Programming (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with databases (SQL, MySQL, Oracle) is an asset.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Power Query, Python, R, Alteryx, PowerApps/Power Automate).
- Knowledge of ServiceNow is an asset.
- Resourcefulness, creative problem-solving, and proactive mindset.
- Strong technical audit skills and varied audit experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of data extraction tools and utilities.
- Bi-lingual in French and English is an asset; fluent written and verbal English is required.
- Experience facilitating Audit Foundations courses or similar is an asset.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and manage conflicting priorities; thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Commitment to innovative thinking and process improvements.
- Mentoring and performance management experience.
- Ability to work independently with ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in virtual and in-person environments.
- Advanced skills with MS Office and Adobe products (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Forms, MS Teams, Outlook).
Additional Information
This position requires English language proficiency in written and spoken form. The successful candidate will support KPMG employees nationally and communicate with English-speaking colleagues. The candidate may need to create documentation and guidance for English-speaking provinces.
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $150,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. Salary will be determined by location, skills, competencies, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
