Job description

Cheep Insurance

Cheep Insurance is not your traditional insurance brokerage. As Atlantic Canada’s first and only 100% online broker (a business model we established before Covid was even a thing!), our team gets to work from the comfort of their homes every day.

As an online broker, we’ve been ruffling feathers in the industry since our launch in summer 2016 – and our significant success since then means we’re now looking to grow our team (again!) We are on the hunt for someone with exceptional customer service skills to help us service our growing book of business. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a small group of energetic, intelligent, and results-focused team members in a fun work atmosphere where technology is revered.

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Processing and Portal Entry Specialist, where your skills will shine in a pivotal role. You’ll take charge of uploading and managing vital new business, endorsement, and cancellation information within insurance company systems. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring client and policy data remain precise, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards

Key Accountabilities :

  • Accurately upload new business, endorsement, and cancellation information into insurance carrier portals and systems.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of submitted data before entry.
  • Correct discrepancies or errors identified during audits or reviews.
  • Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and insurers to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information.
  • Provide updates to internal teams on the status of submissions and processing.

Qualifications and Competencies :

  • Experience in the insurance industry would be an asset, preferably with a brokerage.
  • Proficiency with insurance company portals and systems (e.g., Intact, Aviva, Travelers, etc.) or the ability to quickly adapt to and master new technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Canadian insurance products, processes, and regulations would be an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • TO APPLY, please forward your resume to careers@cheepinsurance.ca.

    Working at Cheep Insurance :
