About the role

Join the Enterprise Architecture and Artificial Intelligence team as a Senior Specialist, Robotic Process Automation. In this role, you will work closely with our business leaders, process owners, and technical teams to shape priorities, set delivery direction, and lead the execution of value-focused automation and AI solutions from concept to production. This role combines delivery leadership and hands-on expertise to accelerate CMHC's outcomes, strengthen adoption, and mature the intelligent automation and Agentic capabilities across the organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design, build, and delivery of solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and model-driven), Power Automate and Datavers, ensuring they are scalable, supportable, and ready for enterprise use.
  • Deliver AI-enabled solutions using AI builder, Azure AI Foundry and related capabilities, integrating outputs into business workflows with appropriate validation, controls, and exception handling.
  • Develop robust automation patterns and workflows with strong exception handling, resiliency, observability and reusability to support enterprise-grade delivery.
  • Partner with the product owner and stakeholders to identify, shape, and prioritize high-value solutions that improve operations, align to business priorities, and support a values driven delivery roadmap.
  • Design and implement integrated solutions patterns using APIs, custom connectors, and emerging AI capabilities to connect Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems and processes.
  • Apply strong software engineering practices to solution delivery by building maintainable components, using pro-code extensions where appropriate, and supporting structured release practices across environments.
  • Lead delivery in an Agile model by managing priorities, guiding work in increments, and maintaining accountability for solution quality, release readiness, and continuous improvement in production.
  • Lead scoping and solution shaping with the Product Owner and stakeholders by clarifying requirements, assessing risk, defining success measures, and promoting governance, adoption, and clear communication of progress and realized value.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship through guidance, design reviews, and reusable patterns, while remaining credible and effective as a hands-on practitioner.

What you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, robotics, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in technology, process design and optimization, and/or business process automation. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, with the ability to lead solution delivery across the full lifecycle.
  • Experience building integration (REST APIs, custom connectors) and working with enterprise data sources.
  • Experience with AI Builder, Azure AI Foundry and Intelligent Document Processing, integration, and enterprise data sources, as well as the controls needed to support reliable production use.
  • Strong foundation in coding and software engineering practices, with experience using source control, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable solution delivery.
  • Experience applying governance, administration, and ALM practices to deliver secure, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, managing priorities and delivering incremental business value.
  • A proven ability to work with stakeholders to shape opportunities, clarify requirements, prioritize work, and assess delivery risk, as well as an ability to connect delivery to business value through practical outcome measures, KPI thinking, and clear communication with stakeholders and leadership.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience building Agentic solutions that incorporate AI (AI Builder / Azure AI Foundry capabilities) as a developer/implementer.
  • Experience in automation or IA environments (RPA, workflow automation, AI-driven processes).
  • Experience with other automation solutions such as UiPath.

Posting closing date: Note, the competition will remain active until filled.
