Overview
The City of Burnaby is recruiting a Building Inspector to perform building inspectional and regulatory work to ensure compliance with the Building, Zoning and Sign by-laws and BC Building Code. The successful candidate may be hired into a Building Inspector 1, Building Inspector 2 or Building Inspector 3 position, depending on qualifications. The position offers opportunities for professional development and growth within Building Inspection, with increasing complexity and scope across levels.

This is an auxiliary position; hours and shifts are based on operational requirements and do not provide guaranteed hours of work, which may include on-call shifts. Typical shifts are Monday to Friday from 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 15 PM.
