Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them walk in clients\' shoes by discussing tax planning options
• Establish deep trusting relationships with clients as you advise them on complex tax matters
• Review corporate tax provisions and compliance engagements, and analyze, review and complete corporate and personal income tax returns
• Proactively resolve tax related issues with clients and other team members
• Act as a leader in the management of our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services

Qualifications

• You’re enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program, or have a Masters of Taxation degree
• You’ve developed and presented new ideas and conceptualized new approaches and tax solutions for clients as part of your commitment to providing exceptional client service
• You have solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax compliance
• You’ve helped mentor and develop others

We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don’t stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $96,800–$133,100 in Markham, ON. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
