The Opportunity
At Baptist Housing, every day is an opportunity for you to help our seniors experience life well in supportive communities. As a member of our team, you can experience a fulfilling career while working in a collaborative environment where support for you is prioritized. As a Registered Nurse in our Smith Creek Village Community you'll provide team leadership, develop care plans, assess unstable residents, and execute various nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatment, and patient transfers.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse you are a key leader in delivering compassionate, person-centred care. You support residents with complex health needs while fostering strong relationships within the team and broader community. Rooted in our ministry values, your role combines clinical excellence with servant leadership.

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with BCCNM standards.
  • Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage complex health conditions.
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in quality improvement and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and practice servant leadership.
  • Work in a vibrant and scenic community in Kelowna, located in the Okanagan Valley.
Available Work: Casual Shift Opportunities

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • A member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience as a nurse in a long-term care environment, preferably.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
  • A Rewarding Career: Help make a difference in the lives of seniors every day.
  • Teamwork & Support: Work in a collaborative, positive environment where your contributions are valued.
  • Beautiful Location: Enjoy working and living in Kelowna, where stunning natural beauty meets a vibrant community.
  • Growth & Development: Build your career with ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities to advance.
Our Community: Smith Creek Village in West Bank is one of our three Communities of Care in the Kelowna area, providing Independent Living with support services, Assisted Living and Long-Term Care.

If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact while working in a supportive, dynamic team environment, we invite you to apply today!

About You
You are a dedicated RN, a self-starter whose strong work ethic thrives with minimal supervision, consistently achieving both individual and team excellence. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills form the foundation of fostering positive relationships, both with residents and fellow team members. Proficient in problem-solving, time management, and meticulous organization of workloads, you ensure the highest quality of care for residents. With an in-depth understanding of aging processes, cognitive function changes, and age-related diseases, you provide empathetic care that transcends the clinical realm. Your expertise extends to medication administration, standard precautions, and adherence to healthcare protocols, prioritizing safety, and unwavering quality in every action. You possess a unique skill set that includes assessing functional and cognitive status, managing equipment, and adeptly utilizing office technology. You are also well-versed in pharmacological therapies, the Wellness Model, legal documentation, and the complex intricacies of the healthcare system at various levels. You are competent, compassionate, and have an unwavering commitment to the well-being of those you serve.

Compensation & Benefits
Level 3 RNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $41.42 to $55.91 as outlined in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement.
