Housing Stability Worker, Street Level Women at Risk (SLWAR) Direct Service (OPSEU) Full-Time, Contract (End date: March 31, 2028) This posting is the result of an upcoming vacancy London, Ontario (London Zone) - Application Deadline: April 15, 2026 - The Housing Stability Worker supports street involved sex workers to achieve housing stability through intensive in-home support for a caseload of 10-12 high acuity participants.

Some of the other duties include but are not limited to connecting participants to services and assisting participants to transition into their housing and community.

The Housing Stability Worker shall report to the Program Manager, Managing Director and the Executive Director of the funded agency.

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING: What you’ll be making: Starting rate for this role is $27.14 per hour (Level 1 – Direct Service), with a wage differential, based on regulation ( $30.01 per hour for Level 1 – Direct Service, Regulated): Successful candidates who are registered with one of the designated professional colleges (e.g.

OCSWSSW, CNO, COTO, CRPO, CPSO, or CPO) will receive the wage differential for regulation Successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with grid progression based on seniority up to Level 8 ($34.41 per hour for non-regulated, and $37.26 per hour for regulated) For internal applicants, grid level placement will occur as per the Collective Agreement When you'll work - 70 hours biweekly; Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and occasional weekend shifts 10:00am-4:00pm Your pension plan –Optional enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) What your benefits will be – 9% in lieu of benefits HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Provide intensive case management including regular, continuous contact with the client using safety precautions related to Covid-19 Apply documented, structured case planning with identified goals to ensure client interactions have objectives and are outcome oriented Work cooperatively with the Street Level Women at Risk collaborative agencies and other supports involved with the client's ongoing care Broker and advocate with other system elements, accompany clients to appointments, provide proactive crisis planning, organize meaningful daily activity opportunities and liaise with Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program Connect the client with appropriate services or supports based on their needs, including physical healthcare, mental healthcare, addiction services, trauma services, vocational assessment and training, employment, volunteer and social-recreational opportunities Facilitate community integration and linkages to “mainstream” community resources (libraries, community centres, recreation, etc.) Connect clients to other long or short-term formal and informal supports Prepare and plan for “homelessness proofing” and re-housing.

Includes recognizing and averting indicators that may de-stabilize a client’s housing and focus on what worked when re-housing a client Apply a collaborative approach to case planning and record keeping.

Collect and record demographic information and maintain detailed case notes, case management plans and contact lists of involved supports and community services using the integrated data management program Support landlords as necessary in conjunction with the Housing Selection Worker and the client Provide after-hours support as scheduled Participate in SLWAR team meetings Alert the SLWAR Program Manager or designate of information that could affect the safety and well-being of street involved individuals Maintain a regular caseload of an average of 10 clients, up to a maximum of 12 based on level of acuity Other duties as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY: Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months.

Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 5 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.

We require the following qualifications: Only female applicants will be considered due to a bona fide occupational requirement of this position and program Post-secondary education in social services or related field ( Primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process, i.e.

original degree/diploma/certificate or official transcript) Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle with at least $2 million in liability insurance to transport clients Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly We prefer the following qualifications: Experience working in addiction and mental health field (2 years) and supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness Training and experience using Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (SPDAT) and the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS) Experience working in community outreach First Aid / CPR Knowledge of community resources Crisis intervention and prevention training Applied Suicide Interventions Skills and Training Bilingual both official languages, preferred; préférence sera accordée aux candidats qui sont compétents dans les deux langues officielles du Canada INTERNAL APPLICANTS: To be considered as an internal applicant, current staff members are reminded to apply using their @cmhatv.ca or @slwar.ca email address.
