Based in Dieppe, NB, they specialize in multi-residential and commercial projects, serving clients across Atlantic Canada. Position Overview
Our client is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team in Dieppe, NB. This individual will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple commercial and multi-residential construction projects. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to managing documentation, permits, subcontractor communications, and on-site coordination.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction & Permitting:
- Apply for building permits and assist in the tendering process.
- Send quote requests to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare sub-contractor contracts for review and issue finalized versions along with required documentation.
Project Administration & Documentation:
- Coordinate project documentation and workflows across multiple construction projects.
- Submit and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Submit and coordinate shop drawings with consultants for review and approval.
- Maintain and distribute updated drawings to relevant subcontractors.
- Create and manage purchase orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend weekly coordination meetings and document meeting minutes.
- Prepare and assemble close-out documents for client handover at project completion.
On-Site Coordination & Communication
- Support the Site Superintendent with on-site coordination as needed.
- Send contemplated change orders (CCOs) and site instructions (SIs) to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate deficiency items and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Experience with Procore software is considered a strong asset.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive and collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
