Job description
Position: Full--Time Long Term Occasional Teaching Position - Primary/Junior qualifications preferredLocation: Red Lake Madsen Public School Union Affiliation: ETFO-Occasional Teachers Effective August 31, 2026 until return of incumbent, but not beyond June 25, 2027.This position will remain open until filled.GROW YOUR CAREER WITH KPDSBKeewatin-Patricia District School Board (KPDSB) is situated in beautiful Northwestern Ontario. KPDSB serves the educational needs of approximately 5,000 students within 17 elementary and 6 secondary schools in the communities of Kenora, Sioux Narrows, Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, Red Lake, Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Ignace, Pickle Lake, Savant Lake, and Upsala. Additional information regarding the Board is available on the Boards web site at Applicants must include, the name of three references, and authorization for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board to contact the references, and a copy of the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of qualification. These documents should be uploaded directly into your Apply to Education portfolio/application.QUALIFICATIONS:OCT Certificate and in good standing is required.Will be familiar with First Nations, Inuit and Metis Cultures within our region and experience working with First Nation, Metis and Inuit students, their families and communities within Northwestern Ontario.Experience as a staff developer, lead learner and facilitatorExcellent leadership and organizational skillsFamiliarity with and/or experience in working cooperatively with staff, administration and educational partnersThis position will require a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) or a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) at the employee’s expense.
