Nanny Wanted - Caregiver Position

The main role of this caregiver is to provide support to our child with Type 1 Diabetes, so an understanding of this condition and ability to confidently care for a child with Type 1 is essential . We would be looking for someone to help on weekends, weekday mornings, afternoons/early evenings, and some overnights. In addition, the ideal candidate would also need to be available on an on call basis for unexpected Diabetes related concerns, as they arise during the school day. We also have a dog, so you will need to be comfortable with animals. Responsibilities would include diabetes related care (changing sensors and pods, administering insulin, counting carbs, ensuring blood sugars are within a safe range, treating low and high blood sugars, vigilant overnight care when we are unavailable to do so, and in the event of an emergency, administering required medications. In addition, other responsibilities would include meal prep, activity planning, light housework, help with homework, and help with driving to activities.
