Senior Property Accountant

You as an Senior Accountant, Property Accounting will:

• Month-end/Recurring journal entries
• Preparation of monthly reporting packages (including financial statements)
• Preparation of quarterly reporting packages (including financial statements, work papers and supporting schedules)
• Intepany charge backs
• Tenant account reconciliations
• Preparation of annual budget
• Preparation of annual final CAM and Tax billing/lease review
• Preparation of annual year-end audit working papers and liaison with auditors during field work period
• Preparation of tenant/vendor chargebacks as needed
• Liaise with Property Managers and Asset Managers regarding related accounting matters
• Cash flow management and cash calls when required, updating rent rolls and collection management
• Other duties as assigned

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyzeplex financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Property Managers and Asset Managers.

Education:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Preference will be given to individuals with a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.pleted or in progress.

Experience:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in property accounting, preferably withinmercial or retail real estate.
• OR Senior Accountanting directly from a CA firm
• Strong familiarity with property management/accounting software; MRI preferred is a strong asset.
