We are seeking a independent contractor that is detail-oriented to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a UT Level 2 CGSB certification and play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients products meet the highest standards of quality and safety . An individual with LPI Level 2, MPI level 2, and / or CWB level 2 certification would be an additional asset. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to analyze data effectively. The Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
Duties
- Perform quality inspections on products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
- Set up and perform calibrations of non-destructive equipment
- Complete daily inspection reports on activities, and progress.
- Commute to work sites
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Communicate the requirements of the ITP’s (Inspection & Test Plans), inspection travellers, code requirements and client specifications to the craft personnel.
- Follow established procedures to inspect materials in accordance with the specific standards and specifications.
- Able to read and review drawings, ISO’s and weld maps.
- Collect and maintain accurate records of inspection results and findings.
- Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures.
Experience
2-4 years related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience.Self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a high-pressure deadline-driven environment.Understands Quality Inspection Procedures, Tools and EquipmentCapable of probing and listening carefully, presenting information clearly in an appropriate style and persuading others in straightforward situations.Willing to contribute actively to team activities, sharing experiences and ideas.LPI, MPI, CWB certifications or additional API endorsements would be considered an asset.Technical knowledge and understanding of CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, ASME Section V, CSA W47 / W59, and industry best practices.Strong computer background including experience with MS, and Excel Office.Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic form.Able to identify problems / issues and generates solutions and makes sound decisions using standard procedures.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.Join our team as an Inspector, where you will contribute significantly to maintaining our commitment to excellence in product quality.Seniority level
