CGSB UT Level 2 Inspector

We are seeking a independent contractor that is detail-oriented to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a UT Level 2 CGSB certification and play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients products meet the highest standards of quality and safety . An individual with LPI Level 2, MPI level 2, and / or CWB level 2 certification would be an additional asset. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to analyze data effectively. The Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process.

Duties

• Perform quality inspections on products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Set up and perform calibrations of non-destructive equipment
• Complete daily inspection reports on activities, and progress.
• Commute to work sites
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Communicate the requirements of the ITP’s (Inspection & Test Plans), inspection travellers, code requirements and client specifications to the craft personnel.
• Follow established procedures to inspect materials in accordance with the specific standards and specifications.
• Able to read and review drawings, ISO’s and weld maps.
• Collect and maintain accurate records of inspection results and findings.
• Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures.
