BCIT
School Of Health Sciences is seeking a
temporary, part-time (0.4 FTE) Assistant Instructor in the
Medical Radiography Technology Program. The successful candidates will work with course instructors to provide student support and evaluate learning while being an integral part of the Medical Radiography team. Assistant Instructors will provide instructor support in the program laboratories by providing students with practical instruction, direction, and ongoing weekly feedback. They are also responsible for student evaluations and marking. Support for the course instructor may also include course preparation, delivery, and the coordination of learning activities. Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with students in positioning lab
- Provide student with feedback in lab
- Set up for application labs
- Assess students in positioning, equipment and critique labs
- Assist lead course instructor as required
- Undertake related duties as assigned, consistent with this position.
Qualifications

Education:Diploma in Medical Radiography
Experience: - 5 years experience as a Medical Radiography Technologist
- An AC, baccalaureate science degree or graduate degree, would be considered an additional asset
- Current registration with CAMRT
- Evidence of continuing education in the field
- Evidence of previous teaching experience
- Team player committed to a collaborative approach to education and training as well as ability to work independently when required
Software/Computer Application(s) and Expertise:Communication/Interpersonal Skills:- Strong interpersonal skills to work with students and other members of the team. Problem solving skills an asset
Administrative Skills (e.g., prioritizing, minute taking, wp speed, etc.):- Strong computer skills as all courses have content delivered in the Learning Hub
Other Skills/Abilities: - Work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
