Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We’re looking for a Claims Adjuster I, Accident Benefits, to join our growing team!
As a Claims Adjuster l, Accident Benefits you will play a crucial role is assisting our customers who have suffered minor injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Our primary focus is to ensure a seamless and positive customer journey throughout the claims process. To set you up for success, we offer an accelerated training program that will equip you with the skills and expertise needed to excel in the insurance industry while building your foundational knowledge of accident benefits. The training will provide you with the confidence, empathy, and the expertise required for your role.
What you'll do here:
Ensure timely and thorough investigation and adjudication of medical claims.
Identify eligibility and/or entitlement ensuring quick access to all available benefits to promote treatment and recovery.
Manage claims while abiding by current provincial regulations and guidelines as well as company protocols and procedures.
Answer queries from customers, legal representatives and medical clinics while providing high quality customer service.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 1 year experience working in a customer service role.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
Computer literate and capable of working in a paperless environment.
Capable of multitasking and juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Capable of working independently within a collaborative team setting.
An ongoing commitment to self development.
Knowledge or understanding of medical terminology is an asset.
A university degree or college diploma in Health Sciences (Kinesiology or Psychology) is considered an asset.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Bilingualism (French & English), both oral and written is an asset
