Dietitian - Nutrition & Food Services

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in Foods and Nutrition required
• Dietetic Internship Program required
• Current registration (or eligibility) with Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietitians (NSRD) required
• Minimum one year working experience as a dietitian preferred
• Inpatient clinical nutrition experiences an assets
• Competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition
• Experience counselling patients in an outpatient setting
• Current WHMIS an asset
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications, Familiarity with the Meditech considered an asset information system considered an asset
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and work under pressure of time limitations
• Demonstrated participation in continuing education and upgrading of skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

• Long Assignment, Part-Time position; 30 Hours Bi-Weekly
• March to October , approximately 18 months

Compensation and Benefits

$37.27 - $50.36 Hourly
