Mail Clerk - Day Shift
Join a leading organization in the insurance sector where you will support essential mail services operations and collaborate with multiple business units. This opportunity offers exposure to a dynamic corporate environment while contributing to the efficient handling of communications, customer information, and operational processes.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $17.60.
• Contract duration: 4 months.
• Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Location: on-site position in Toronto, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and courier deliveries in a timely manner.
• Process outgoing mail and courier shipments accurately and within required timelines for customers and advisors.
• Handle and distribute cheques, contracts, and statements accurately to internal and external customers.
• Use web-based systems and internal mainframe systems to obtain client information and mailing instructions.
• Maintain email inboxes and respond to email inquiries, scanning requests, and print requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct investigations to obtain updated addresses for customers.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal partners.
• Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, provide information, and address concerns.
• Answer telephone calls, direct calls, and take messages.
• Compile, copy, sort, and file records related to office activities and business transactions.
• Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, including records and reports.
• Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems.
What you will need to succeed:
Required qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 to 7 years of administrative, customer service, or data entry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
