Job Description
We’re seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support a regulatory and service delivery transformation project within the public sector. The successful candidate will bring experience working on complex systems involving compliance, licensing, and operational service delivery. This is a remote opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and is comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze and translate complex business and functional requirements into high-level system functionality.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and process walkthroughs with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct gap analysis and define current vs. future state processes.
Develop documentation including user stories, use cases, flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system design aligns with business needs.
Support UAT planning and execution.
Contribute to business process improvements and policy recommendations.
Assist with change management, training preparation, and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate with privacy and security teams on compliance assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in public sector or regulatory environments.
Experience with service delivery, licensing, or compliance-related systems.
Strong understanding of Agile or Hybrid Agile methodologies; experience using JIRA or similar tools.
Demonstrated ability to gather and document complex requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks or legislation is an asset.
