BMO is currently sourcing for a Technical Specialist – Senior on a 6-month contract.
This role supports the Banking Customer Onboarding team, leading development efforts and simplifying solutions with a focus on Python, Django, and Angular upgrades.

Line of Business: Banking – Customer Onboarding
Reason for Hire: To lead a small team of developers and support modernization efforts through simplification and upgrades across key platforms and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a small team of developers in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment
Design and implement simplified, scalable technical solutions
Upgrade and enhance applications using Python/Django and Angular
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across architecture, QA, and business stakeholders
Maintain and optimize system integrations and performance
Must-Have Skills
8+ years of software development experience
Proven experience leading development teams
Proficient in Angular, Java, and Python/Django
Hands-on experience with AWS
Strong database experience: Oracle and Postgres
Web development skills including HTML, jQuery, JSON, and XML
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Previous experience in customer onboarding or banking systems
Education & Certifications
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
