Overview
Corporate Travel Consultant – Bayshore HealthCare: manages travel logistics for nurses, paramedics, and social workers departing and/or returning from travel assignments across Canada. This includes booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation with efficiency and attention to detail. Serves as the point of contact for resolving travel-related challenges and staffing concerns to ensure smooth deployment and continuity of care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with the Client Service Coordinators (CSCs) to coordinate and book travel for nurses, paramedics and social workers scheduled for assignment or returning home from an assignment.
- Participate in a rotation of on-call weekdays/weekends for travel issues.
- Oversee staffing service coordination in consultation with the MCPs and CSCs, facilitating a response to all inquiries from Northern Staffing field staff pre-assignment, while on assignment and post-assignment.
- Problem-solve issues and questions related to travel and accommodations from Field Staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years corporate travel agency experience is required.
- Experience with Northern travel assignments strongly preferred.
- Travel agent certification strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Semi-Automated Business Research Environment – Global Distribution System (SABRE GDS) to manage bookings and reservations, including all types of pricing, air, car and hotel reservations.
- Experience in corporate travel solutions handling large volumes of travel daily, including ticketing, exchanges and refunds.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
