About the Hotel

The Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is a 128-room hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. Located just off the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a heated pool with a 100-ft water slide.

Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is looking for someone who is friendly and professional to join our Guest Services team!

What will you be doing?

• Assist in supervising the front desk function; ensure staff is properly trained including service expectations, hotel facilities and services, local directions, property management and reservations systems, safety, and emergency procedures, etc. courteously.
• Monitor performance and recommend corrective or disciplinary action. Alert management of potentially serious issues.
• Responding appropriately to guest requests; promotes hotel services, facilities, and outlets; providing guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase satisfaction. Making appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned which may include guest room tours, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.).
• Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with others

What are the requirements for this role?

• Must speak fluent English. Other languages reading, writing and math abilities.
• High School diploma or equivalent, plus one-year front desk/guest service experience. Some college is preferred.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
