MPE is hiring! We are seeking an
Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our
Saskatoon Office, as a successful candidate you will be working experienced engineers and collaborate with different teams on exciting projects.

Your main responsibilities
- Lead and support the development of junior team members through mentorship and guidance;
- Organize, plan, and carry out geotechnical field investigations;
- Complete geotechnical calculations and analyses across a variety of project types;
- Conduct geohazard assessments and develop appropriate engineering designs;
- Perform analysis and design work related to earthen dam structures municipal and commercial infrastructures;
- Install, monitor, and interpret data from geotechnical instrumentation;
- Carry out construction inspections related to foundations, earthworks, and similar activities;
- Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports;
- Communicate project progress to project managers;
- Contribute to proposal preparation and support business development efforts.
What makes you unique
- Bachelor's degree in civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering;
- Eligibility for registration with APEGS;
- A master’s degree is considered an advantage, but is not mandatory;
- Approximately 5 or more years of applicable professional experience;
- Experience in water structure design or foundation analysis and design would be an advantage;
- Experience coordinating geotechnical investigations is considered an asset;
- Strong self-starter with effective written and verbal communication abilities;
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities;
- Capable of working independently with limited supervision;
- Familiarity with geohazard assessments and/or dam projects is an asset;
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations under varying weather conditions, when required;
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
