The Service Supervisor plays a vital role in the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the branch. Salary: $115,000-$123,000 annually, plus safety incentive
Work arrangement: Fixed on-site - working from the branch daily

What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of Heavy Equipment Technicians and Apprentices, promoting SMS Equipment’s safety-focused culture.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs on Komatsu and other OEM equipment, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Assign work, coordinate scheduling, monitor and manage WIP, ensure alignment with warranty submissions, and utilize resources efficiently.
- Guide and support tradespeople with repair procedures, technical challenges, and daily tasks.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by delivering training, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Prepare and review service quotes, work orders, and technical documentation to support smooth operations.
- Manage customer repair expectations, communications and timelines effectively.
- Support employee growth and development through coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, ideally in a large shop environment. Other qualifications include:
- Journeyperson certification in a relevant trade (e.g., Heavy Equipment Technician, Millwright) is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy duty equipment.
- Solid understanding of OH&S legislation, safety standards and inspection practices.
- Highly organized, performance-focused, and passionate about leading teams.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Excel) and familiarity with Gantt charts.
- Valid Class G/5 driver’s license.
