Controller Our client is based in the Burnaby Coquitlam area of the Lower Mainland. They are a manufacturing company and looking for a Controller to oversee their finance accounting team and department.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
- Manage all aspects of cost accounting
- Ensure accurate inventory accounting
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate annual financial audits
- Other as required
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Salary 115-140,000 range
