Controller

Our client is based in the Burnaby Coquitlam area of the Lower Mainland. They are a manufacturing company and looking for a Controller to oversee their finance accounting team and department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
• Manage all aspects of cost accounting
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate annual financial audits
• Other as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Salary 115-140,000 range
