Overview
The Customer Platform Experience team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team. The team owns the best-in-class user interface for Customer Administration and Integration for Identity Solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, analytical, and well organized.

Role
The Senior Technical Program Manager is a key member of our software development organization, partnering closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to drive execution and deliver high-impact customer capabilities.

- Drive end-to-end execution of features and technical programs across the portfolio, ensuring delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes within an Agile/Scrum model.
- Partner with product and engineering leaders to shape strategy, design decisions, and execution plans for scalable, high-impact customer capabilities.
- Own delivery against plans, timelines, and commitments, maintaining clear accountability and driving teams to successful outcomes.
- Operate effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment, coordinating across delivery teams, release roadmaps, OKRs, and product stakeholders.
- Drive alignment across a portfolio of initiatives by evaluating business and technical trade-offs and partnering across teams to optimize execution approaches, technology adoption, and operating models.
- Organize and accelerate execution across multiple teams, aligning dependencies and removing blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
- Simplify complex, large-scale efforts by establishing predictable delivery paths and continuously improving, streamlining, or eliminating inefficient processes.
- Partner with engineering teams to evolve ways of working, proactively identifying, mitigating, and driving resolution of risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies.
- Facilitate effective Agile ceremonies, including retrospectives, and drive actionable improvements while escalating systemic impediments when needed.
- Clearly define and communicate scope, timelines, dependencies, ownership, and risks, providing structured, data-driven updates to engineering teams and senior leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and source of truth for program status, ensuring accurate, timely communication to stakeholders at all levels.
- Develop a deep understanding of business strategy and system design to influence decisions and effectively represent team capabilities and delivery plans.

All About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience delivering complex technical programs, with the ability to drive and influence transformational change in end-to-end product delivery using Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and take ownership in complex, ambiguous environments.
- Experience breaking down complex problems, organizing work, planning sprints, developing roadmaps, and delivering technical programs using Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong program ownership mindset, serving as a trusted point of contact and source of truth for program status, ensuring accurate, timely, and data-driven communication to stakeholders.
- Solid technical acumen, with the ability to engage engineers, evaluate system design trade-offs (including scalability, performance, reliability, security, and data integrity), and identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Proven track record of data-driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies to optimize team performance and delivery outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships, align cross-functional teams, and drive consensus across engineering, product, and business partners.
- Ability to lead and contribute to discussions on delivery strategy with business leaders, architects, engineers, and designers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey complex information to executives, peers, and technical teams.
- Strong servant leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a focus on enabling teams and fostering collaboration.
- Hands-on curiosity and willingness to dive deep into platform capabilities, underlying technologies, and evolving industry trends.
- Experience with modern web applications and distributed systems; familiarity with CI/CD, SQL databases, microservices APIs, and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Experience using Agile and program management tools such as JIRA, Rally, Confluence, and Excel.Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
