Qualifications and Experience
: Bachelor of Education from a recognized Canadian university Valid teaching certificate from a Canadian province, or in the process of obtaining one Specialization in French with fluency equivalent to a native speaker (spoken and written) Familiarity with the BC Curriculum, specifically in French as a Second Language (FSL) Strong classroom management skills and ability to foster a positive classroom environment Experience teaching primary or intermediate students (preferred) General Responsibilities: Plan and deliver French lessons aligned with the British Columbia curriculum Develop unit and lesson plans that promote student engagement and language acquisition Adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students Maintain a classroom environment that supports safety, respect, and inclusion Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to foster academic excellence and holistic development Integrate cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity into instructional practices Application Requirements (to be submitted upon request): Valid Canadian or BC Teaching Certificate (or proof of application in process) Official post-secondary transcripts Criminal Record Check (current within 6 months) Two recent professional references Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Position Details: Schedule: Monday to Friday, regular school hours Benefits: Extended Health Care Dental Care On-Site Parking RRSP match Vision Care Work Location: On-site – BC Muslim School, Richmond, BC Remote Work: Not availableFrench Teacher (Grades 5 -9) • British Columbia, Canada
