About the role:
The Sidecut Restaurant Manageris responsible foroverseeing the daily operations of a Sidecut restaurant. Theyare responsible forensuring excellent customer service, managing the restaurant staff,maintainingquality standards, and maximizing profitability. The manager plays a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for customers while ensuring efficient and smooth restaurant operations.
What you will do:
Staff Management:30%
Recruit, train, and supervise the restaurant staff, including waitstaff, server assistant and host.
Schedule shifts and manage staff rotations to ensureoptimalcoverage during peak hours. Ensure payroll is processed intimelymanner.
Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to employees tomaintainhigh service and performance standards.
Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and resolve any staff-related issues or conflicts to enforce Golden Rule.
Customer Service and Guest Experience:30%
Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction, ensuring that guests have an exceptional dining experience.
Interactwith customers, handle complaints or concerns, and address any issues promptly and professionally.
Monitor service quality, table turnover, and overall guest satisfaction, takingappropriate actionsto improve where necessary. Keep Open Table inventory atoptimumlevel
Regularly review customer feedback on Medallia, Open Table, Google and direct feedback via glitches and email and follow up withguestto ensure proper resolution and make necessary adjustments to improve service and exceed guest expectations.
Operations and Financial Management:20%
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Ensure month end inventories are completedin a timely mannerand comments updated for variance reports
Analyze financial reports, such DRR, forecast sheets, P&L'sand budgets, toidentifyareas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve financial targets in collaboration with Marketing and culinary team.
Implement cost-control measures,monitorexpenses, and work towardsoptimizingoperational efficiency. Keep close eye on labor andOpexcosts and work with Purchasing to secure best products at best pricing
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotions,special events, and marketing initiatives to attract andretaincustomers.
Menu Development and Quality Control:10%
Work closely with the culinary team to develop and refine the steakhouse menu, ensuring a diverseselectionof high-quality dishes.
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, andportionsizes through regular inspections and staff training.
Monitor food preparation, cooking techniques, and adherence to food safety standards tomaintainexcellence in food quality.
Ensure staff has proper tools & training to deliver exceptional guest experience
Compliance and Regulations:10%
Ensure compliance with local,provincial, andfederalregulations, including health and safety standards, liquor licensing, and employment laws.
Keep PCI compliance andcontrols incheck onregularbasis.
Stay updated on industry trends, food safety protocols, and best practices inrestaurant management.
What you bring:
Previousexperience as a restaurant manager, preferably in a steakhouse or high-end dining establishment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage management, staffing, and financials.
Proventrack recordin driving sales, achieving targets, and managing costs.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays asrequired
